Hearing-impaired students’ lament: Shortage of sign language interpreters

Eight hearing-impaired students are expressing disappointment on learning that during the past few days of school there were no interpreters to assist them with their school work. In an interview at the T&T Guardian, Dominique Lavel, 14, and Korisha Samaroo, 13, both Form One students of the El Dorado West Secondary School complained that they showed up for classes but no interpreter was present.
