Former ISD superintendent voices opinion about school’s possible fate

Bill Johnson’s roots with the Iowa School for the Deaf run deep.

Even though Johnson, who served as the superintendent of ISD from 1987 through 2003, graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, he has had relatives working at or attending the school since the mid-1800s.
