Shortage of audiologists affects fight against hearing impairment

A severe shortage of audiologists and speech language pathologists in the country is delaying the dream of eradicating hearing impairment within the next 20 years, say experts. Despite studies showing that 7% of the population has speech and hearing disorders, there are just 1,500 registered audiologists and speech therapists, they add.
